Health Surveillance is the monitoring (including biological monitoring) of workers' health to identify any changes caused by exposure to a hazardous substance or environment. We offer a range of services that assist our clients in determining their exposure to risk and help with early identification and remediation. Government bodies are placing increased pressure on employers to manage these risks to workers, and many medicals are now a legislative requirement. Some of the services we offer are:

  • Skin check screens – performed by a trained nurse or doctor, usually just 10-15min appointments, to screen for moles and cancers and any other notable skin lesions or scars.

  • Vaccinations – our general process involves the worker performing a serology to determine immunity before commencing any vaccination program. We will then keep track of the vaccination record as each course is followed up. When we book a vaccination, we will attach the serology results for your confirmation.

  • Respirator Fit Testing - Qualitative and Quantitative, depending on the mask requirements.

  • Crystalline Silica, Asbestos or Isocyanate Medicals – performed pre-employment, periodically (annually) and post-employment and is a legislative requirement for employers. Usually includes a chest x-ray every 5 years and differing paperwork and questionnaires.

  • Pathology – On some occasions, there will be an additional pathology test in addition to the medicals, e.g. a blood lead test. KINNECT will always arrange this independently with a pathology provider.
