What This Report Is Used For

Use the Open Text Analysis report to:

  • Review all open-text responses across workflows

  • Search for specific words or phrases

  • Identify recurring themes or concerns

  • Drill into the exact workflows where issues were mentioned

This report is especially useful for data mining and early risk detection.

Filtering the Data

You can filter open-text data by:

  • Site or group

  • Workflow

  • Supervisor

  • Employee

  • Job title

  • Specific questions or answers

All visuals and tables update automatically as filters change.

Searching Open Text Responses

One of the most powerful features is text search.

You can:

  • Enter a keyword (e.g., fire, traffic)

  • Instantly see every time that word appears

  • Click directly into the source workflow for more context

Tip:

  • Searching punctuation (like !) can help surface urgency or frustration.

Word Cloud Analysis

The word cloud highlights:

  • Frequently mentioned words or phrases

  • Topics that appear most often in open responses

You can click any word in the cloud to:

  • Filter results to that topic

  • See which sites, roles, or supervisors mention it most

  • Review individual examples over time

Drilling Down & Exporting

From this report, you can:

  • Drill down into individual responses

  • View trends over time

  • Export the full dataset as an Excel or CSV file

  • Perform additional analysis outside Power BI if needed
