The Raw Data tab is primarily designed for analysts, administrators, and advanced users who want full flexibility to explore or export data.

What This Report Is Used For

Use the Raw Data report when you need:

  • A full export of ANVL workflow data

  • Maximum flexibility for custom analysis

  • Data for audits, ad-hoc requests, or external reporting

  • A starting point for Excel-based analysis

Think of this as your “everything” dataset.

Exporting Raw Data

If your goal is to work in Excel:

  1. Select the three-dot menu on the visual

  2. Choose Export Data

  3. Download the file as CSV or Excel

This is the fastest way to use the Raw Data report.

Using Raw Data in Power BI (Optional)

You can also interact with the data directly in Power BI:

  • Search within columns (e.g., user name, assigned by)

  • Filter specific fields not shown in standard slicers

  • Narrow results before exporting

This can be helpful if you want a subset of the full dataset.

Tips for Working with Raw Data

  • Expect many columns — delete what you don’t need

  • Use filters before exporting to reduce file size

  • Sort and pivot data in Excel after export

  • Pair with workflow tags to add reporting context

It’s normal for this report to feel overwhelming at first.

When Not to Use Raw Data

Raw Data is not ideal for:

  • Executive summaries

  • Trend analysis

  • Weekly or monthly reviews

For those use cases, use:

  • Trending Metrics

  • Weekly Summary

  • Escalations & Actions

In Summary

The Raw Data report gives you:

  • Full visibility into all captured ANVL data

  • Complete freedom to analyze and manipulate data

  • A reliable source for audits and custom reporting
