Hydropack: How to Replace Temperature and Humidity Sensors

Encountering an E1 error or noticing wildly inaccurate temperature readings?

Updated this week

It's time to replace the temperature and humidity sensors in your Hydropack.

Step-by-Step Replacement Guide:

  1. Locate the Sensors

    1. Find the two small rectangular sensor casings on the left side of the Hydropack, near the air filter.

  2. Remove the Side Panel

    1. Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to detach the side panel.

  3. Access the Sensors

    1. Carefully use a small precision flat head screwdriver to pry the sensor casing open.

  4. Disconnect the Old Sensor

    1. Use a precision Phillips screwdriver to remove the microchip.

  5. Gently disconnect the wire connection from the machine.

    1. Install the New Sensor

  6. Connect the new temperature and humidity sensor to the machine's connection.

    1. Attach the microchip to the back of the casing.

  7. Snap the front and back of the casing together.

    1. Reassemble

  8. Secure the casing back onto the Hydropack with the Phillips screwdriver.

    1. Repeat the process for the second sensor.

  9. Reattach the side panel.

Pro Tip: If you're experiencing sensors reading temperatures that seem impossible (like 10°F in a Texas summer), it's definitely time for a replacement.
