How to create a survey

Step-by-step guide to creating your first survey in Asklayer, from naming the survey to adding pages and saving.

You can create surveys that appear as a site widget, post-purchase page, or dedicated link page. For a full overview of survey types, see Survey Types & Delivery Channels: Overview.

Steps

Questions

  1. From the Asklayer dashboard, click "Create a new survey."

  2. Select a survey type.

    1. On-site widget

    2. Exit survey

    3. Dedicated page survey

  3. Choose a template, then click "Start with this template."

  4. Enter a "Survey Name" and click "Create."

  5. The survey editor opens, displaying question pages based on the selected template.

  6. Add, delete, or edit pages as needed.

Delivery Channels

  1. Select one of the following: Widget, Post-Purchase Email, or Dedicated Page.

  2. Configure the settings required for the selected channel.

    1. Site widget: page targeting, display timing, etc.

    2. Post-Purchase Email: email template, send timing, etc.

    3. Dedicated page survey: response frequency limits

Actions

  1. Enable any actions you want triggered when the survey is completed.

  2. Configure the required settings for each enabled action.

Publishing

Click either Save as Draft or Publish.
