Custom metrics let you build your own formulas directly inside Atria’s analytics, similar to custom metrics in Meta and TikTok Ads Manager. Instead of exporting data to spreadsheets or doing manual calculations, you can define metrics like CPA, ROAS variations, or any formula that matters to your business, then use your custom metrics in any of your reports.

Availability

Custom metrics are available on Business and Enterprise plans.

Where you can use custom metrics

Once created, your custom metrics are available across all reporting surfaces in Atria:

  • Overview dashboard

  • Radar

  • Reports

  • Column presets

  • Snapshots

How to create a custom metric

  1. Navigate to the Analytics tab and select your ad account.

  2. From the Overview dashboard: Click Metric settings in the Key Metrics overview card

  3. Click + Create custom metric.

  4. Configure your metric:

  • Name: Give your metric a descriptive name (e.g., “CPA”, “Blended ROAS”).

  • Format: Choose how values should display: Currency ($), Percentage (%), Number, etc.

  • Formula: Build your formula using base metrics like Spend, Clicks, Purchases, ROAS, and more (e.g., Spend ÷ Purchases for CPA).

  1. Set additional options:

  • Performance direction: Indicate whether a higher or lower value is better. This helps Atria apply the correct color-coding in reports (e.g., green for improvement, red for decline).

  • Summable: Specify whether this metric can be summed across rows. Metrics like total spend can be summed; ratio-based metrics like CPA typically should not be.

  1. Click Create metric to save. Your custom metric will now appear alongside standard metrics wherever you build reports.

Tips

  • Custom metrics update dynamically as new data comes in. No need to rebuild or refresh.

  • You can edit or delete custom metrics at any time from the same Metric settings or Customize table columns panel.

  • Save your most-used custom metrics in a column preset for quick access across reports.

  • If a formula returns unexpected results, double-check that the base metrics you selected match the ad platform’s data (e.g., ensure you’re using the correct purchase event).
