How to Set Up a Stripe Account to Receive WorkCover Payments

Follow these steps to connect your Stripe account to Avaana so you can securely receive WorkCover payments and track your payouts with ease.

⚠️ Important:

  • This feature is required to accept WorkCover bookings.

  • If you do not complete all the steps below, your Stripe account will not be set up and will not be linked to your Avaana account.

  • Stripe is a third-party financial services platform that enables businesses to accept payments, review transaction activity, and manage payouts and transfers. For assistance with using Stripe or resolving account-related issues, please contact Stripe support directly.

Steps

  1. Go to Avaana (avaana.com.au). Navigate to Provider Log In, then enter your registered email address and password to access your account.

  2. Go to the Payments for Services page in the left-hand menu.

  3. Click Add Stripe Account.
    You will be redirected to a secure Stripe window partnered with Avaana.


If You Already Have a Stripe Account

  1. Enter the email address and phone number linked to your existing Stripe account.

  2. Follow the prompts to connect your account.

  3. Once setup is complete, you will be redirected back to your Avaana account.

✅ If the connection is successful, the button will change from Add stripe account to View stripe account.

If You Do Not Have a Stripe Account

  1. Enter the primary email address and phone number you would like to use for your Stripe account.

  2. Enter the 5-digit verification code sent to your phone number.

  3. Complete your Business Type and Business Structure details.

  4. Continue to the next page and enter the remaining business information.

  5. Add your nominated bank account details for receiving payments.

  6. Review all information carefully, then click Agree and Submit.

  7. Once setup is complete, you will be redirected back to your Avaana account.

✅ If the connection is successful, the button will change from Add stripe account to View stripe account.


Notes

  • All WorkCover payments are processed through the Stripe account linked on your Payments for Services page.

  • Your first Stripe payout is typically scheduled 7–14 calendar days after your first successful payment. This allows Stripe to complete account verification and risk assessment.

  • After the initial waiting period, most Stripe accounts move to a 2-business-day rolling payout schedule for domestic payments.

  • Once Stripe initiates the payout, funds may take an additional 1–3 business days to appear in your nominated bank account, depending on your bank.

  • You can view detailed payment information by logging into your Stripe Dashboard and navigating to Payments or Balance. From there, you can export reports showing transaction amounts, fees, and net payouts.
