How Do I Change Treating Practitioners on Avaana?

Follow these steps to change a practitioner during the treatment course for a workcover claimant on Avaana

⚠️ Important

Before making any changes, please ensure you:

  • Contact the claimant and inform them of the change in practitioner

  • Confirm they have provided consent for the change

Only proceed once consent has been received.

Steps

  1. Go back to the Workcover Bookings page.

    Click Add Booking in the top right corner.

  2. Under Practitioner’s name, select the practitioner you want to change it to.

  3. Once updated, the booking will automatically appear under the new practitioner’s name on the Workcover Bookings page.


Notes

  • The practitioner you want to switch to must have a complete and active practitioner profile on Avaana.

  • The booking will automatically sync with the new practitioner’s Practice Management Software or external calendar (if integrated with Avaana).
