Overview
The image element in Content Designer allows instructional designers to include images in a clean and efficient way. It supports single or multiple images, and the lightbox option lets students view images in a larger format without leaving the page.
To add or edit an image element, open the content editor inside a Content Designer activity.
Image element settings
Images
Upload one or multiple images using the file picker or by dragging and dropping them into the upload area. If multiple images are uploaded, they are presented as a carousel that can be navigated with arrow icons on each side.
Caption
Add a caption that appears underneath the image or image carousel.
Show in lightbox
If enabled, images open in a lightbox when clicked, allowing users to view them in a larger format without leaving the page.
General element settings
The image element shares additional settings with other Content Designer elements:
General settings – adjust padding, spacing, and other layout details.
Background – choose background color or image.
Entrance animation – animate the element as it appears on screen.
Scrolling effects – apply effects on scroll.
Responsive settings – control visibility and layout on different screen sizes.
Note: This feature was introduced with Content Designer Version 1.6.
