About

The Video Time stats data source offers a comprehensive overview of all Video Time activities within Moodle. It is used to generate insights into video engagement, such as views and completion rates, or to create curated playlists.

You can find these settings when opening the preferences of a Dash block.

Important: This data source requires the Video Time Pro plugin to be installed and active on your Moodle site.


Available fields

These are the building blocks available for your layout:

Video Time

  • Activity name

  • ID number

  • Description

  • Total unique visitors

  • Total views

  • Average view time

  • Percentage of video finished

  • First session

  • Last session

  • Video created

  • Preview image URL

  • Preview image

  • Completion on video finish

  • Completion on watch percentage

  • Completion on watch percentage value

Course

  • Short name

  • Full name

  • Course start date

  • ID number

  • Summary

Available filters

These are the filters available in the data source:

  • Category

  • Course

  • Associated categories

  • Tags

Available conditions

You can restrict which videos are included in the block using the following rules:

  • Current course context – Limits data to the course the block is currently displayed in.

  • Courses – Manually select specific courses to display.

  • My enrolled courses – Only shows videos from courses where the current user is enrolled.

  • Course categories – Limits data to videos within selected Moodle categories.

  • Tags – Filters based on specific tags.
