How do I manage users and permissions?
There are two places to manage team members in Besty, depending on what you're configuring.
Operations Portal permissions (Settings > User Management)
Go to Settings > User Management to set up permissions for each person on your team. The available roles are Admin, Receptionist, Operations Manager, and Operations Staff.
For each person, you can configure:
Enable Guest Comms — access to the messaging/inbox side of Besty (a separate module).
Enable Operations — access to the Operations Portal, with controls for:
Scoping — whether they see All listings, Individual listings, or Listing Sets.
Users — whether they see tasks for All users or only themselves.
Departments — All departments or specific ones.
Individual Grants — fine-tuned toggles such as Access All Tasks Page, Access Schedule Page, Access Templates Page, Access Automations Page, Access CSV Exports Page, Access Unassigned Tasks, Edit Tasks, Access Others' Availability, Access Payments, and Access Listings Page.
This lets you, for example, give a cleaner access to only their own tasks at specific properties, while a manager sees everything.
Adding team members (User Management page)
User Management is also where you add members of your team to access Besty.
The main admin email cannot be changed at all from this page. Only users added afterward can be edited.
Different users can be assigned different generic roles that come with default permissions. These roles can then be adjusted to match exactly what you want each employee to access.
