How to connect Bookvault to Beventi

Connect your Bookvault account from Integrations, finish the first-time setup, and find your way around the Bookvault Overview page.

You sign in to Bookvault in a new tab, approve Beventi, and come back. Nothing goes to Bookvault until you've linked a book, and even then orders only go by themselves if automatic sending is on.

Before you start

  • Have your Bookvault sign-in ready. You need a Bookvault account of your own.

  • Sign in to Beventi as the account owner or a team Admin. Other team members can't connect Bookvault.

  • Allow new tabs (pop-ups) for the Beventi dashboard.

Connect your account

  1. Open your profile menu (your picture or initials, top right) and choose Integrations.

  2. Find the Bookvault card (the Fulfillment filter shows it on its own). It will read Not connected.

  3. Press Connect to open Bookvault in a new tab.

  4. Sign in to Bookvault and approve Beventi. Allow everything Beventi asks for, or the connection won't finish.

  5. Come back to the Beventi tab. While you wait, it says "Finish connecting in the new tab. This page updates when you're done." Once you're done it updates by itself: you'll see "Connected to Bookvault", the card turns Connected, and the button becomes Manage.

  6. Press Manage to set things up.

Changed your mind? Press Cancel. If the page stops waiting before you finish, press Connect to start again.

If the card says Needs confirming

A connection started from Bookvault's side waits until you say it's yours. The card reads "A Bookvault account asked to connect. Nothing changes until you answer."

  1. Press Review. A box asks "Connect this Bookvault account?"

  2. Press Connect it if you started this from your own Bookvault account, or Not mine if you didn't.

A waiting request doesn't last forever. If it's gone, press Connect to start again.

First-time setup

The first time you press Manage, a short setup opens with "Bookvault is connected". Press Set up Bookvault. Beventi reads your Bookvault library in the background ("Reading your Bookvault library"), and you don't need to wait for it.

You'll only see the Link and Import steps when there's something to do:

  1. Link products. Books with the same ISBN can be linked all at once. Probable matches need a quick look. Nothing links until you confirm, and anything you leave unlinked keeps selling as it does today.

  2. Import products. Choose the Bookvault titles that aren't on Beventi yet. The button shows how many you picked, for example Import 3 and continue. Some arrive with Bookvault's retail price and some without, so check prices before you sell.

  3. Fulfillment. Choose whether paid orders go automatically, and pick your Shipping speed and Print partner. On a new connection, automatic sending starts switched on. Switch it off before you finish if you don't want it. See "Choose your Bookvault settings".

  4. On Ready to finish, check Your choices (press Change to edit one), then press Save and finish.

You'll see "You are all set". If no books are linked yet, you'll see a note that nothing goes to Bookvault until a product is linked, with a Link products button.

Use Back, Skip this step and Continue to move around. Nothing is saved until Save and finish.

Choosing a print partner at a glance

Print partner is where Bookvault prints your books, and it sets the currency Bookvault bills you in: United Kingdom (GBP), United States (USD), Australia (AUD) or Canada (USD). Pick the one closest to most of your readers. If you don't choose, Beventi picks the one in your country, or the United Kingdom if there isn't one there.

Skipping and coming back later

Press Skip setup for now, then Finish setup. Nothing is saved, so paid orders stay with you until you send them. Link books from Products and make your choices in Settings whenever you're ready.

What the Overview page shows

After setup, Manage opens Overview, next to Products, Orders and Settings.

  • At the top, the status: Connected, or Action needed if Beventi needs you to reconnect.

  • Products: how many products are linked, with Link products or Review.

  • Automatic fulfillment: what happens to a paid order, with Change to open Settings.

  • Waiting on you: orders to send or fix. When there's nothing to do, it says "Nothing needs you right now."

  • Recently sent and Recent activity: your latest orders and updates.

  • Disconnect Bookvault sits at the very bottom.

FAQ

I pressed Connect and no new tab opened. What now?

Your browser may have blocked the tab, so Bookvault opened in the same tab instead. Sign in and approve. When you come back you'll see "Keep this Bookvault connection?". Press Keep it (or Disconnect if it isn't the right account). Or allow pop-ups for Beventi and press Connect again.

Bookvault says it connected, so why does Beventi still say Not connected?

Look for a red note on the card. It says what went wrong and what to do, for example "That Bookvault link expired. Press Connect to start again." If the card says Needs confirming, press Review. More help is in "Troubleshoot Bookvault".

Why can't I see the Link or Import step, or the setup at all?

Link and Import only show when Beventi finds books to match or titles to bring across. Once you've linked a book or saved your choices, Manage opens the Overview instead. You can do all of it from Products and Settings.

Will orders start printing as soon as I finish setup?

Only for books you've linked, and only if automatic sending is on. On a new connection it starts switched on in setup, so switch it off on the Fulfillment step if you'd rather send each order yourself.

Can I connect two Bookvault accounts?

No, only one at a time. Connecting a different account replaces the first. While the first account still has orders in progress, Beventi can't switch, so try again once they've finished, or contact us if it can't wait.
