How to check the bike battery on electric bikes / ebikes

Updated over a week ago

Before picking a bike up, always check its battery level.

How can you do that?

When you follow the steps to pick a bike up, after selecting the bike type, the app shows you the slot number of the assigned vehicle πŸ‘‡

Before picking the bike up from the dock, check its battery level.

The led for checking the residual charge is near to the pedal. The led light turns up when you push the little button on it and, in so doing, you see the remaining energy of the ebike battery πŸ‘‡

If you see that the battery charge is not sufficient for the trip distance, you can choose not to pick it up.

The system will delete the trip automatically and you will be able to pick a new bike up within little more than a minute; no costs will be applied for the deleted trip.

If you have picked the bike up, you can return it within 3 minutes to the station; even in this case, you will not accrue any cost and there will be no need to wait for a new bike.

Finally, after picking the bike up and while you are cycling, just remember that you can always check the bike battery level from the app screen πŸ‘‡

Important: in a station, it is possible to find ebikes that cannot be used (in such cases, the dock light is red); the unavailable bikes are those which need to be fixed by the maintenance operators.
