BirdEase Payments/WePay Account Migration

To continue providing best in class services for your fundraising events, and after hearing feedback from many customers like yourself, we have switched to a new payment facilitator to power BirdEase Payments. BirdEase Payments will no longer be powered by Chase/WePay.

What does this mean?

As of October 2024 your existing WePay account will be unable to process payments.

Our migration tool imports much of the information from your existing BirdEase Payments account to the new provider's application. You will just have to verify personal and banking information due to privacy and security controls.

A valid Social Security Number, Date of Birth, and Home Address for the contract signer are REQUIRED for your BirdEase Payments application. This information is used to verify the signer's identity and required by law. Your application will NOT be approved without this information and will cause delays if incorrect information is submitted.

What is better about the new BirdEase Payments?

Our new partner will enable us to provide even better customer service and flexibility. Our new partner has also enabled us to deploy more beneficial features to your new BirdEase Payments account.

Once you are switched over you will be able to:

  • Store Registrant cards on file to enable rapid rebills for items, quick additional purchases leading up to or at the event, and instant processing on auction items.

  • Provide Full or Partial refunds for transactions right from your BirdEase event manager dashboard.

  • Manually process payments by keying in card numbers with a Virtual Terminal right from your BirdEase transactions tab.


Everything else that has worked well for your previous account will work the same way. All existing features will still be available. You will enjoy the same deal, rates, and we are still your customer service.

What if I am processing now?

You can still process payments with your existing account up to October 2024. As soon as your new BirdEase Payments account is activated, the switch in your event website is instant. We will automatically connect the new account in your event's payment options, and the funds will go into your new account.
