How do I create an integration?

To enter your data, you first need to create an integration:

1️⃣ Open the Dashboard and go to the Integrations tab, then click + Integration.

WebApp View

MobileApp View

2️⃣ Choose the type and follow the matching guide:

💡 Tip: If the integration you want is not in the list, there is no automatic import for it. Create a Manual Integration to add transactions manually.

After you create it, the integration appears on the Integrations tab. Exchange, blockchain and wallet integrations import balances and transactions automatically, as described in the respective guide.

How do I sync an integration?

You load new transactions with Sync All (all integrations at once) or with the sync icon 🔄 on a single integration. If older transactions are missing, start the re-sync Sync Missing Transactions via ⋮.

✨ Blockpit Plus: If you do not want to start every integration yourself, then with Plus Blockpit syncs your exchange and wallet integrations automatically once a day. You can always start the sync of a single integration with the 🔄 icon for free. You can find Plus in the Shop.

How do I edit the name, API key or import time span of an integration?

You can overwrite the name, API key & secret or the start date (import time span) of an existing integration. You can also turn off synchronization (Sync), see below.

1️⃣ Open the Dashboard and go to the Integrations tab.

2️⃣ Click the three dots (⋮) on the far right of the integration and select Edit.

3️⃣ The sidebar opens. Change what you need here.

4️⃣ Finally, click Save.

When do I change the import time span afterwards?

You can edit the import start date of your integration afterwards so that tax reports you have already submitted and their transaction histories stay unchanged.

The field Import Time Span also appears when you upload a CSV file or the Blockpit template:

How do I group several integrations?

You can combine several integrations in one folder: click ⋮ on an integration and choose whether to create a new folder, select an existing group or add a new address. The balances are combined in the overview, and the tax report is not affected.

How do I convert a Manual/CSV integration into a Synced integration?

This connects an existing Manual or CSV integration with an API key or public key:

1️⃣ Open the Dashboard and go to the Integrations tab.

2️⃣ Click ⋮ on the integration and select Setup Sync.

3️⃣ In the sidebar, choose the import type Exchange or Blockchain.

Enter the API or public keys following the guide for the respective integration.

4️⃣ Check the start date for the sync (import time span). The date of the last transaction already in the integration is preselected.

5️⃣ Finish with Save.

⚠️ Warning: Watch for overlaps at the start date and exclude or delete duplicate transactions on that day.

As a Synced integration it then has a Synced Balance and can show the tip Mismatched Balance. The differences explained:

How do I delete an integration?

1️⃣ Open the Dashboard and go to the Integrations tab.

2️⃣ Click ⋮ on the integration and select Edit.

3️⃣ Click the trash icon.

4️⃣ Type Delete into the text field and click Delete Integration.

⚠️ Warning: Deleting an integration cannot be undone. Existing transfers (merged transactions) between integrations are split back into their individual parts (Unlabeled Deposit / Withdrawal).

If you simply no longer need an integration, hide it instead of deleting it (see below).

How do I hide an integration or deactivate its sync?

You can hide unused integrations to deactivate their automatic synchronization (Sync). You can also turn off Sync without hiding the integration.

Hide an integration and show it again

1️⃣ Open the Dashboard and go to the Integrations tab.

2️⃣ Click ⋮ on the integration and select Hide Integration.

3️⃣ You find hidden (deactivated) integrations at the very bottom of the Integrations tab.

Only deactivate Sync

1️⃣ Open the Dashboard and go to the Integrations tab.

3️⃣ Untick Sync Integration.

Common mistakes

✗ Deleted an integration to tidy up → deleting is final and splits transfers into Unlabeled Deposit / Withdrawal; hide unused integrations instead

✗ Did not check the start date when switching with Setup Sync → duplicate transactions can appear on the last day

✗ Hid an integration but expected new transactions → hidden integrations no longer sync automatically

✗ Unticked Sync Integration but still expected new transactions → without the tick Blockpit loads nothing new

Inactive 3Mo+: pause sync

If no new transactions have arrived in an integration for 3 months, the dashboard marks it with Inactive 3Mo+ and shows the button Pause Sync. This way no sync keeps running for a wallet or exchange you no longer use.

1️⃣ Click Pause Sync in the integration's row.

2️⃣ The tick for this integration is then unticked in the sidebar. Your existing transactions stay unchanged.

▸ Undo: Tick Sync Integration again (⋮ › Edit).
