If you’ve chosen Block Booking, you'll have the option to add Trials to your blocks.

Customers can select Trials during the booking process and add them to the start of their booking.

1. What are Trials on Blocks?

There are two types of trials you can set up: Free Trials and Paid Trials.

Free Trials

  • You can offer up to three free trial sessions.

  • During booking, customers can choose to opt into a trial.

  • We’ll collect customer payment details during booking, and their confirmation email will include a cancellation option. If they decide not to continue, they can cancel via the email link provided. Cancellation must be done by the end of the day before the first paid session; otherwise, the remaining sessions in the block will be charged. Payment will process the day before the first paid session.

  • For cancellations after the trial, customers will need to contact you directly, as per your terms and conditions.

Paid Trials

  • You can offer up to three paid trial sessions.

  • During booking, customers can choose to opt into a trial.

  • Customers will pay the trial fee upfront when the trial begins.

  • We’ll collect payment details at booking, and a cancellation option will be available in the confirmation email. If the customer wishes to cancel, they must do so by the end of the day before the first paid session. Otherwise, the remaining sessions in the block will be charged, with payment processing the day before the first paid session.

  • If the customer wishes to cancel after the trial, they will need to contact you directly as per your terms and conditions.

2. What happens if a post trial payment fails?

When a post trial payment fails, the booking details will appear in the "Failed Payments" section, accessible from the Bookings page.

You have three options when handling a failed payment:

  • Cancel the Booking: This will cancel all attendees associated with the ticket for a trial booking.

  • Retry Payment: You can attempt payment up to four times. Each failed attempt will notify the customer, prompting them to contact you if they encounter payment issues.

  • Clear the Notification: Dismiss the alert regarding the failed payment.
