Editing Agent Profiles

As a Broker/Admin user, you have access to editing and updating your Agent users' profiles!

It is very important that you do not overwrite an existing Agent account to add a new Agent account to the system. Doing so can cause issues with text messages and emails sent through the system. If you would like to add an agent, click here for further instructions.

To access an Agent's profile, navigate to the Users - Agents option within the Admin tab in your left-hand menu bar.

Select the name of the Agent that you'd like to view the profile for, and you'll be directed to their individual profile page.

Within an Agent's profile, you can change their log-in email address, their user permissions, as well as their name, phone number, and picture that shows on the website. Agents will also have access to most of these changes, in case they'd like to update the data on their end through their My Profile page.

Here's a run-down of the components of an Agent's profile:

Login Info

Here you will find the Agent’s log-in email address, which is also the address that will receive all BoomTown-related email. To edit this email address, click in the text box, make the necessary changes, and select Update Login Email.

If your Agent does not know the password to their account, you can use the Reset Password button. A temporary, randomly generated password will be sent to their login email address.

Agent Website

Here you can update the URL for your Agent's website, also known as the Agent subdomain.

Most Broker/Admins will use their Agents' first names in the Agent website URLs.

The Agent's name replaces the "www" in the URL. So the Agent website will not actually include "www", rather it will look like this: http://agentname.yourcompanysite.com/

Change Photo

Here you can add or update an Agent’s profile photo.

The photo should be in .jpeg format, and be 120 x 150 pixels.

MLS Info

If you have your Agent's MLS ID, you can enter it here to have their listings display on their Agent website under their My Listings tab.

Personal Info

You can use these fields to update the contact information for this Agent, such as their name, phone numbers, and office location (if your team has multiple offices).

Additionally, you can enter Agent's Professional Bio information, Professional Title, Awards & Designations, Tag Line, and Personal Website, so that the information can be displayed on the front-end website on the Agent profile page.

Additional Emails

If your Agent would like all their BoomTown system email notifications to be sent to more email addresses, they can be entered in this field, separated by commas.

The email entered here will not display on the site and will only be copied on system notifications, not emails from leads.
