Requestor appointment creation settings let LSC Administrators control whether requestors can create appointments and appointment series, and whether requestor-created appointments need approval before broadcasting. They are set at the system level and can be overridden per account.
[Reviewer note] Several images in the legacy article were already broken placeholders, so the original approval-workflow screenshots are unavailable as a visual reference. Capture fresh screenshots during QA.
Open the settings
Go to Configuration > Company > Appointments.
1. Hover your mouse to Appointment Creation to see the Pencil Icon.
A pop-out opens where you control if and how requestors create appointments.
The three settings
Appointment Creation: When On, requestors can create appointments. This setting is On by default.
Note: Turning it off does not disable appointment creation for Root Requestor Administrators. A default or custom requestor administrator's permissions are determined by their role settings.
Note: To configure a requestor admin's ability to create appointments, see the Roles and Custom Roles article.
Recurring Appointments: when On, requestors can create an appointment series. This setting is Off by default.
Appointment Approval: when On, it requires Requestor Admins to approve appointments created by requestors before broadcasting occurs. This setting is Off by default.
Note: The appointment is not visible to the LSC admin until the Requestor Admin has approved it.
How appointment approval works
A requestor creates an appointment. Its status shows "Draft Approval".
The Requestor Admin sees the "Draft Approval" appointment on their dashboard. They select it to open the "Appointment Viewer", where they can edit or approve it.
Once the Requestor Admin approves it, the appointment appears for the LSC admin on their dashboard and calendar, and follows the normal broadcasting process based on the account settings.
Note: The appointment is not visible to the LSC admin until the Requestor Admin has approved it.
