Has it been entered as 'other leave'?
The first thing to check is whether the leave type has been entered as 'holiday', which will deduct from the allowance.
If it's been entered as 'other leave', it won't deduct from the holiday allowance.
You can find out more about 'other leave', including how to add your own 'other leave' types, in the guide below:

Is this day included as a working day in the employee's working pattern?
Check that the leave hasn't been submitted for a day when the employee is not scheduled to work in their working pattern. If it has, the leave won't be deducted from the holiday allowance.
Could it be a statutory holiday?
It may also be worth checking if the date that has been booked falls over a statutory (bank) holiday.
If it does, and the employee is set to receive statutory holidays, Breathe will recognise this and won't deduct the leave from the allowance.
Is this date a company holiday?
Within Breathe, company holidays are extra days off you can give to employees by adding a company holiday over a certain date.
You can check if this is the case by going to Configure > Settings > Company holidays, and viewing the dates listed.
