How to use the leave & sickness functionality in the Breathe People Portal app.

The Breathe People Portal app allows you easy access to your leave and sickness.

When you first log into the People Portal App, you'll see your dashboard. This allows you to see your next leave date, as well as view and manage any ongoing instances of sickness.

From here, you can navigate to report sickness or request leave (as shown below).

Leave requests

You can click on the 'leave' icon to view leave from your app dashboard. This then takes you to your leave overview (shown below).

This allows you to view your current holiday allowance, any adjustments made, as well as the number of days you've got left to take. You can also view leave you've already booked.

Please note that the approval process for holiday requests will need to be completed using the browser version of Breathe (either on mobile or desktop).

Holiday requests

To add a holiday request, the process is the same as accessing Breathe from a browser - simply add in what type of leave you're requesting & the dates you'd like to request.

All you need to do is tap 'create leave' to send the request. You can also add notes to leave requests, if you like.

Report & manage sickness

Similarly to a leave request, you can click on the icon to view and manage instances of sickness. When logging sickness, you'll be asked for information such as sickness type & date of the sickness.

You can leave this as an ongoing sickness, to update with an end date when you're well & back to work. Here, you can also add additional notes, as well as add any attachments (such as sickness notes).

FAQs

Q: Is the Breathe People Portal app free?

A: Yes. The app is completely free to download - you'll just need to have an active Breathe subscription to use the app.

Q: Can I manage my/my people's holiday on the app?

A: Your team will be able to add their leave, sickness and unavailability using the app, however, the approval process for holiday requests will need to be completed using the browser version of Breathe (either on mobile or on desktop).

Q: Who can use the mobile app?

A: The People Portal app has been designed for the end user - your people. So your employees will be able to use the app to view and manage their shifts, log their leave, sickness and unavailability & pick up extra shifts on the go.

Q: Is there an app for HR/Admin users?

A: There isn't currently an app for Breathe. Breathe is 100% mobile optimised, so using Breathe on your mobile is just as easy as using it on desktop.
