It's super-easy to manage leave with Breathe.

The 'leave' tab in someone's profile shows holiday allowance, all requested leave, booked/taken holiday and any adjustments.

Creating a leave request

Leave requests can be added by clicking on the blue '+' icon.

If an employee has a line manager or holiday approver assigned to them, their request will go to this user for approval.

If both a line manager and a holiday approver is assigned to an employee, the holiday approver will receive any leave requests.

Managing leave

As an HR user, you can also make manual adjustments to your team's leave allowances by using the +/- buttons.

The system will automatically pro-rata any new starter's leave allowance based on their join date and where you are in your holiday year. This will show in the adjustments tab.

As an HR user you can also add back-dated leave for someone by clicking the '+' icon.

The 'taken' tab will display leave taken in your current holiday year. If you need to see all historical leave records, simply tick the 'show all holiday taken' box.

Holiday usage reports

There's an extra tab on your people's profiles that visualise how much holiday a person has taken from their holiday entitlement so far.

This is compared to how far your organisation is through your holiday year, so you can make sure your people are taking the breaks they need.

As an HR user, you can view holiday usage for your organisation as a whole, as well as for a particular department. To view these reports, head to Reporting > Reports > 'Overview' tab.
