Advisors/Counselors have the ability to edit student accounts, parent accounts, and their own account details.
Editing Student Details
You can easily update a student’s information directly from the Students tab. Follow the steps below to edit student details.
Step 1: Navigate to the Students tab from the left-hand navigation menu.
Step 2: Locate your student using one of the following methods:
Use the search bar to find a student by name or email,
orScroll through the list or apply filters such as Account status, Grad year, Advisor, or More filters.
Step 3: Locate the student in the list and click the pencil (edit) icon on the right side of the row.
Step 4: A pop-up window will open with the Edit Student page, where you can update the student’s information, including their first name, surname, email address, date of birth, assigned advisor, and graduating year. After making the required changes, click Save to apply the updates.
Note: For ManageBac students, student details must be edited in ManageBac. The only exception is assigning advisors, which can be managed within the platform.
Editing your staff profile
Step 1: Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of BridgeU and select Profile from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: On the Profile page, you can update your personal information, including your profile picture, name, email address, and password.
Step 3: Once you have made the necessary updates, click Save Changes to apply them.
Note: You cannot edit a colleague’s personal profile details. If you need to update a colleague’s email address, they will need to make the change themselves, or you can contact the support team for assistance.
Editing parents
Step 1: Navigate to a student account with parents attached.
Step 2: Locate the student in the list and click the pencil (edit) icon on the right side of the row.
Step 3: In the pop-up, scroll down to the Manage parents section.
Click the pencil (edit) icon next to the parent’s name to update their details (first name, surname and email address)
Step 4: After making the required updates, click Apply to confirm the parent changes, and then click Submit to save all updates.
