Many countries now require, in their laws, the ability for subscribers to cancel a contract online autonomously and simply. This often means providing a “Cancel my subscription” button that is easily accessible to your members.

Offering your members the option to cancel their subscriptions is also an excellent way to:

  • Reduce your administrative burden: No longer do you need to manually perform this task from your back-office. Your members are completely autonomous.

  • Build trust: A simple cancellation process without fine print increases your members’ trust and improves your brand image.

However, this feature is not activated by default because it removes some of the control you have over your subscriptions. Before activating it, please familiarize yourself with how it works by reading the following articles:

Activate the feature on your Back Office

  • Go to Settings > Personalization > Subscription

  • Enable the toggle "Enable members to cancel their subscriptions"

  • On the pop-up appearing, click "Enable now"

  • Don't forget to save your changes for them to be applied

You see the parameter, but it's greyed out, and you cannot edit it? It means you are part of a franchise. Only the Master Account will have control over this parameter.

Activate the feature on your Master Account

If you are not a franchise, then you are all set; no need to follow this part.

If you are a franchise with a Master Account, you can decide to activate the feature for all your franchisees at once.

  • Go to Settings

  • Enable the toggle "Enable members to cancel their subscriptions"

  • On the pop-up appearing, click "Enable now"

  • Don't forget to save your changes for them to be applied

Those changes will be applied to all your franchisees at once. It's not possible to pick which franchisee the feature will be activated for.
