Bubble operates as a marketplace that connects sitters and parents, and not as an employer or employment agency. It is therefore a sitter’s own responsibility to work out your own employment status and to comply with relevant regulations.
If you work more exclusively with parents for longer periods of time, this may mean that your relationship is more similar to employer-employee. It’s up to sitters and parents to discuss with each other and ascertain what are the appropriate steps to take, unless you utilise our permanent nanny placement service whereby we will take the hassle out of this and support with employment contracts.
