Our tips for a successful bio
Updated over a week ago

A great bio allows you to stand out from the crowd and have a better chance of securing sits. It means parents can get to know you and make a more informed choice when they're choosing the right sitter for their family, hopefully leading to more repeat work with the same families.

Here are our top tips for writing a bio:

  1. Highlight any experience with babysitting and childcare.

  2. Include a bit about yourself, hobbies, interests or background.

  3. Provide some key details about what you’re currently doing (nannying, studying etc).

  4. Short punchy bios are easier to get through when reviewing a number of profiles, so you may want to keep things clear and concise.

  5. Proofread before publishing - check for any spelling or grammar mistakes!

Here’s an example bio:

'I am a caring, reliable and positive person with over 5 years of experience working with children from ages 2-12 years old. I am Paediatric First Aid trained and have a level 3 Advanced Diploma in Children and Young People’s workforce.

I am passionate about art and cooking, and I really enjoy being creative with children I babysit.

I also have lots of experience during bath time and bedtime if required - I know a lot of nursery rhymes that come in handy during bedtime routines. I also grew up with cats and dogs so am more than happy to take care of your furry friends too.

Looking forward to meeting you!
