How to write the best bio
Updated over a week ago

A great bio allows you to stand out from the crowd and have a better chance of securing sits. It means parents can get to know you by highlighting what a fantastic sitter you are, leading to more success when looking for jobs.

Here are our top tips for writing the best bio:

  1. Highlight any experience with babysitting and childcare.

  2. Include a bit about yourself, hobbies and interests.

  3. Provide some key details about what you’re currently doing (nannying, studying etc).

  4. Keep it clear and concise - short punchy bios tend to perform best.

  5. Proofread before publishing - check for any spelling or grammar mistakes that may detract from your credentials.

Here’s an example:

I am a caring, reliable and positive person with over 5 years of experience working with children from ages 2-12 years old. I am Paediatric First Aid trained and have a level 3 Advanced Diploma in Children and Young People’s workforce.

I am passionate about art and cooking, and I really enjoy being creative as much as possible with children I babysit.

I also have lots of experience during bath time/bedtime if required - I know a lot of nurses rhymes that come in handy during bedtime routines.
