What Notifications Will I Receive in Buenro?

This guide explains the different types of notifications, when they’re triggered, and where you’ll see them.

Buenro uses timely notifications to keep you informed about your travel plans, group status, and social activity.

Booking-Related Notifications

Booking Confirmed

Triggered when the final room is claimed. This confirms the group trip and finalises all payments.
Where it appears: Push notification and email
Includes: Booking details, cancellation terms, and next steps.


Group Cancelled

Triggered when:

  • The curator cancels and no one accepts the transfer within 24 hours

  • Not enough people join the group before expiration
    Where it appears: In-app and email
    Includes: Refund details and link to explore alternatives.


Group Expiry Warning

Sent 24 hours and 2 hours before a group expires unconfirmed.
Where it appears: Push notification
Includes: Link to the checkout page to cover the cost.


Guest Leaves Group

If someone cancels or leaves after confirmation.
Where it appears: In-app notification
Curators will receive an option to invite someone else.


Invite and Referral Notifications

You Were Invited to a Group

Sent when a friend, +1, or Circle invites you to join a group.
Where it appears: In-app and email
Includes: Property details, dates, and option to accept.


Approved to Claim Room

Triggered when the curator approves your request.
Where it appears: In-app and email
Includes: Claim room prompt and property link.


+1 Accepted or Declined

If you invited someone as a +1, you’ll get a notification once they accept or decline.
Where it appears: In-app and email


Earned Credits

Sent when someone you referred completes their first booking.
Where it appears: In-app and email
Includes: Credit amount and balance access link.


Safety and System Edge Cases

Blocked User Joined Group

You’ll be notified if someone you blocked joins a group you’re in.
Where it appears: In-app and email
Includes: Reassurance that they cannot see you, and a link to manage options.


No Rooms Left

If you were invited but the house filled up before you accepted.
Where it appears: In-app only
Includes: Link to view other groups for same dates/location.


Room Claimed

Triggered when you successfully claim a room.
Where it appears: In-app only
Includes: House dashboard link and booking details.
