What are Reservation Privacy Settings?

Here’s how they work step by step.

Reservation Privacy Settings let the Curator control how visible a booking is to others. These settings are chosen during checkout and can be adjusted later in the House Dashboard while the booking is pending. Adjusting them can make a group more visible to fill empty rooms — or less visible if you want to restrict access.

1. Who Can Change Reservation Privacy Settings

  • Only the Curator (the person who created the booking) can adjust Reservation Privacy Settings.

  • Guests and +1s cannot change these settings.

  • The settings are set during checkout and can be adjusted later by the Curator from the House Dashboard.

2. What Happens When Settings Are Changed

  • The Curator can make the group more visible (to invite more joiners) or less visible (to limit who can see and join).

  • Notifications are sent to relevant users (for example, invited contacts or community members) based on the change.

  • This helps Curators either open up slots or restrict access depending on the group’s needs.

3. What Guests See

  • Guests may receive a notification if the Curator changes Reservation Privacy Settings.

  • Notifications reflect the Curator’s choice, not a Support action.

4. Limitations

  • Only Curators can change Reservation Privacy Settings.

  • Guests cannot disable these notifications manually — only the Curator can adjust the setting.

  • Current logic: there are no limits on how often a Curator can change these settings.

Tips for Using Reservation Privacy Settings

  • Use these only when you truly want to open your group to more people — or to limit who can see and join.

  • Communicate with your Guests if you adjust visibility, so expectations are clear.

  • Avoid toggling too often, as it may confuse group members.
