User guide for the Settings tab

Settings Overview

Within the Settings tab, you can adjust a number of system settings straight from your mobile device.

[A] Settings

Tap the "Settings" icon in the navigation bar from anywhere in the app to access your system settings.

[B] User Settings

Amend user details such as first and last name. If you are running more than one Cammy location, you will have the option to set a location as your default location under User Settings.

[C] Camera Settings

Change the name of your cameras and amend your Camera Sets.

[D] Alarms Settings

Add and manage alarms, change alarm notification settings, and set alert preferences straight from your mobile device.

[E] Access Control

Set up and manage devices and keys.

[F] Cammy Settings

Manage your app permissions and system health.

[G] Help and Support

Access the Support Hub and open a support case with our support team.

[H] Sign Out

Sign out from the app.

[I] App Version

See which version of the Cammy Mobile app you are currently running.

[I] Live Chat

Open a live chat with one of our customer support representatives straight from the Cammy app.


User Settings

Within User Settings, you are able to adjust your user details.

[A] First Name

Update the first name associated with the account.

[B] Last name

Update the last name associated with the account.

[C] Email address

See the email address associated with your account.

[D] Save Changes

Save any changes made to the details.

[E] Revert Changes

Revert any changes made to the previous details.

To amend these details simply remove the current information in the type boxes and enter the new details. Once you have changed the details, you must tap "Save Changes". If you wish to return to the original details, tap "Revert Changes".

πŸ’‘ If you are running multiple locations of Cammy, you can choose which location you are viewing under the User Settings. You can also set a location as a "Default Location" which means when opening the app, this location will show unless you select to view another location.


Camera Settings Overview

Within "Camera Settings" you are able to amend the Camera name, the set a camera belongs to and amend your Camera Sets directly from your mobile device.

[A] Edit a Camera Set

To change the settings for a camera set, simply tap the camera set you wish to edit.

[B] Edit a Camera

Click to edit a camera.

[C] Add Camera Set

Add a new Camera Set for your cameras by tapping "Add Camera Set". You will then be asked to name the camera set and will need to tap "Add Camera Set" again to save the changes. To add cameras to the new Camera Set, you will need to go back to the "Camera Settings", tap on the camera you wish to move to the new camera set, and then select the new Camera Set from the drop-down, for it to be moved to.


Edit a Camera

[A] Camera Name

Edit the camera name straight from the app.

[B] Camera Set

Choose or change which camera set a camera belongs to.

[C] Cancel

Cancel any changes made to the camera and revert back to previous changes.

[D] Save Changes

Save any changes made to the camera.

[E] Camera Set Options

This pop-up box will appear when choosing which camera set to allocate a camera to. Choose the camera set by tapping the set of choice.


Camera Sets

Amend camera set details and add new camera sets from within the camera settings area.

[A] Edit Camera Set

Tap to edit the settings for a camera set.

[B] Add Camera Set

Add a new Camera Set for your cameras.


Adding a Camera Set

Create a new camera set straight from the mobile app.

[A] Camera Set Name

Choose a name for your Camera Set. Choosing a name that reflects the location or alarm behaviour of the camera set is advised.

[B] Add Camera Set Name

Tap "Add Camera Set" to save the set which will now appear on the camera settings page.

πŸ’‘ To add cameras to the new Camera Set, you will need to go back to the "Camera Settings", by either tapping on the camera and changing the set that a camera is allocated to or, dragging and dropping the camera into the new camera set.


Edit Camera Set

Make changes, and create new camera sets straight from the mobile app.

[A] Edit Name

Edit the name of an existing Camera Set by clearing the type box and entering the new camera set name.

[B] Save Changes

Save any changes made to the camera set.

[C] Delete Set

Delete a camera set. Any camera allocated to this set will automatically be reallocated to your default camera set.


Alarm Settings

Within the alarm settings, you are able to manage both your Premises alarm and Identities, both of which come as standard with the Cammy subscription.

[A] Premise Alarm

Manage the settings for basic person detection alarms.


Premise Alarm Settings

You can manage certain aspects of your alarms straight from your mobile device. If you have no active alarms, you will have the option to "Add an Alarm" from this page.

[A] Alarm Name

Here you will find the name of your Alarm. This can be changed within the Alarm Settings.

[B] Alarm Status

There are 2 Alarm Status'; "Armed" and "Disarmed".

[C] Status Icon

If your alarm is armed the status icon will show green. If disarmed the status icon will show red.

[D] Edit Alarm

Edit the settings for your alarm including name, cameras, methods, schedule, and geofence settings.

[E] Manual Arming

Manually "Arm" and "Disarm" your alarm easily by tapping Arm/Disarm accordingly. By tapping "Auto", your alarm will revert to either the schedule or geofence alarm settings. Depending on your alarm settings, manually arming and disarming your alarm will override your auto settings.

[F] Global Settings

Tap to edit the "Global Settings" for your alarms. These settings are relevant to all your alarms.

[G] Add Alarm

Create a new Alarm by clicking "Add Alarm".


Alarm Settings

You are able to edit individual alarm settings by tapping "Edit" in each area.

[A] Alarm Name

Change the alarm name.

[B] Cameras

Edit the cameras associated with the alarm.

[C] Methods

Amend the notification method, choose who notifications are sent to, and adjust the notification delay period.

[D] Schedule

If you do not yet have a schedule set up, you can do so here. If you do already have a schedule set up you can make changes to the schedule.

[E] Geofence

If you do not yet have geofence (Location-based alarms) set up, you can do so here. If you do already have geofence set up you can make changes to the location and radius settings here.

[F] Close

Close the alarm settings. This will take you back to the alarm itself.

[G] Delete

Delete the alarm completely. This will stop any notifications from cameras associated with this alarm.


Adding an Alarm

Create a new Alarm from the Alarm settings tab.

[A] Alarm Name

Enter the name of your alarm into the type box.

[B] Cancel

Cancel creating a new alarm and return to the alarms page.

[C] Next

When setting up, you must tap "Next" to ensure the changes are saved and move to the next step of creating an alarm.

[A] Camera Set Selection

Select and deselect Camera Sets and all the cameras attached to that camera set, to be added to the alarm. Any detections from the cameras in this camera set will alert in line with the behaviour of this alarm's settings.

[B] Individual Camera Selection

Select and deselect individual cameras to be added to the alarm. Any detections from these cameras will alert in line with the behaviour of this alarm's settings.

[C] Back

When setting up an alarm, you can move to the previous step by selecting "Back".

[D] Next

When setting up, you must tap "Next" to ensure the changes are saved and move to the next step of creating an alarm.

[A] Method

Choose to receive notifications from your alarm via the Mobile app, Desktop app, and Email.

[B] Users

Decide who you would like to be notified when a visitor is detected; select the users from the drop-down.

[C] Notification Delay

Choose how long would like in between alerts by using the 'Notification delay' drop-down.

[D] Back

When setting up an alarm, you can move to the previous step by selecting "Back".

[E] Next

When setting up, you must tap "Next" to ensure the changes are saved and move to the next step of creating an alarm.


Schedule

Create new, and amend existing schedules straight from the mobile app.

[A] Quick

Offers the ability to quickly select pre-defined schedules and acts as a preview of manually entered schedule times.

[B] Advanced

Create a custom schedule to suit the specific needs of your premises.

[C] Pre-defined Schedules

Choose from a selection of common pre-defined schedules. Either use these as they are or as a starting point for your schedule.

[D] Inverse

Easily change the schedule to the opposite of what is displayed by tapping the inverse icon.

[E] Schedule Preview

See a preview of the schedule set out in table form.

[F] Edit

Edit the days and times previously set for your alarm to arm and disarm.

[G] Delete

Delete the schedule for that day by tapping the bin icon.

[H] Add

Add a new schedule by selecting the day, start, and end time.

[I] Clear All

Delete all times associated with the advanced schedule.

[J] Back

When setting up an alarm, you can move to the previous step by selecting "Back".

[K] Next

When setting up the schedule settings, you must tap "Next" to ensure the changes are saved and move to the next step of creating an alarm.


Geofence

Geofence uses Cammy user locations to automatically arm and disarm your alarm.

[A] Saved Location

If you are running multiple alarms, any saved or active locations will appear here for you to quickly select when creating a new alarm.

[B] None

If you do not wish to base your alarm around User and premise locations, select "None".

[C] New Location

Set a new location for your alarm. This location should be where the premise you are monitoring is located.

[D] Radius

The radius is the area around your location. Once all users have left the radius your alarm will be armed, if set to use geofence. Choose between a small, medium, and large radius; The smaller the radius, the more accurate your alarm will be.

[E] Address Finder

Type in the address of your premise to find your location on the map.

[F] Map and Pin

Use your finger to tap and drop the pin on your location and view the radius area surrounding you.

[G] Back

When setting up an alarm, you can move to the previous step by selecting "Back".

[H] Next

When setting up the geofence settings, you must tap "Next" to ensure the changes are saved and move to the summary view of the alarm.


Cammy Settings

View and manage app permissions.

[A] Permissions

See your current app permissions for Notifications, Location, and Media Gallery.

[B] App Settings

Change your current app settings by tapping to open the app settings. You will then be directed to the App settings within your device settings. Here, you can amend your current app permissions.


Health Settings

The Health dashboard provides an overview of your current system performance. You are also able to change your system notification preferences from here.

[A] Health Status

Here you will see an overview of how your system is currently performing.

Open a case with the support team by tapping "Contact us".

[C] Chat Icon

Speak with one of our friendly Support Representatives via our chat service. Tap on the chat icon to open a case.

[D] Search Bar

Search through our articles for guidance by typing keywords into the search bar. Any relevant articles will then be shown as a suggestions for you to select.

[E] Article Collections

Browse articles based on support collections. Collections are grouped together making it easier for you to navigate your way around the Support Hub.

[E] Interactive Support

Here you can access previous message threads with our support team, search our extensive support hub for relevant articles, and access our live chat.
