Managing your Identities

At Cammy, we have cleverly incorporated facial recognition software, using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence, into our Cammy software. This is known as "Identities" across our platform. Once a face has been identified, our software determines who, or who is not in the image and then sends alerts to users based on the visitor's identity and user preferences. See how to manage your identities below.

Step 1

Select the "Settings" tab of the Cammy desktop app.

Step 2

Find the Alarms area and select "Identities". Once in the Identities area, you will see all new visitors are displayed in the top section of the screen. You can scroll left and right to see more identities by clicking the arrows displayed at the sides of the new visitor area.

Step 3

If you recognize a visitor, enter their name in the type box and then select an alert status; "Alert" if you wish to be alerted next time they are recognized or "Don't Alert" if you do not wish to be notified of their arrival.

You are able to choose an alert status for your visitors in bulk by clicking "Select All" in the top right-hand corner and then choose either "Alert" or "Don't Alert" for all the visitors selected.

Once you have identified a visitor, their visitor profile will be moved from the new visitor's area at the top of the screen to further down the page under Known Visitors.

Editing a Visitor

Once a visitor has been identified, you can easily edit their visitor profile by clicking on their profile at any point. This will open their full visitor profile where you can edit their name, categorize them into a visitor type, enter an email address for the visitor and invite them as a user on Cammy. This is especially useful for employees who regularly enter the premises and need access to the system too. Always remember to Save any changes you make to the profile to avoid your changes being lost.

FAQs for Managing Identities

❓ What is a Visitor Category?

A visitor category is a way to group visitors together based on their alerting preferences. Some examples of visitor categories may be categories such as Ex-employee, Employee, or Delivery. You can manage your visitor categories, by selecting the "Manage Categories" button at the bottom of the Identities area. Here you can create new categories as well as set alerting rules for each category.

❓ What happens if I don't specify how I want to be alerted for a visitor?

If you do not identify a visitor and specify if you do or do not want to be alerted for them, your premises alarm rules at the time of their arrival will then determine if you are alerted for them or not.
