CampusESP’s Admin area gives you full access to all the features you need to manage your institution’s portal. Learn which workspaces are accessible in the admin area, how to navigate to each page, and customize your workspaces to your preference.
The full admin area is only accessible to users with Platform Admin access. Content Admins and Event Check-In Admins cannot access the admin area at all. FERPA Admins will only have access to the FERPA workspace within the admin area.
Navigate to the admin area
From the portal, click the person icon (👤) in the upper-right, then select Admin.
You can also navigate directly to the admin area by visiting https://[your-portal-url].campusesp.com/admin/. The admin area will open to your Performance Dashboard by default.
From here, you can use the sidebar to navigate to different workspaces depending on the goals you’re trying to accomplish.
Understand available workspaces
The Admin area is made up of different workspaces, which you can access from the sidebar. Hover over any sidebar icon to reveal the full menu of pages within that workspace, then select the page you’d like to navigate to.
The full list of workspaces and pages in each includes:
Dashboards: Performance Dashboards, Community Analytics, Post Analytics, FERPA Permissions
Content: Emails, Text Messages, Posts, Events, Advertisements, Surveys, Discussion Activity, Text Conversations, Post Comments, iCal Feed
Users: Users, User Imports, User Exports, Do-Not-Send List
Communities: Communities
Funnels: Funnels (listed by name), Student Import, Student Workflow, Parent Workflow
AI: Customize Personas, Chat Activity, Sandbox, Training, Customizations
Orientation: Learning Modules, Checklists, Event Groups
FERPA: Student FERPA Access
Memberships: Overview, Members, Membership Form
eCommerce: Orders, Products
Configuration: Onboarding Forms, Newsletters, Welcome Emails, Parent Promoter Score, Discussion Boards, Discussion Moderation, User Import Rules
Customize: Gives you the ability to reorganize the sidebar based on your most-used workspaces
The visibility of some workspaces and pages is based on the CampusESP solutions your institution has purchased. The sidebar of your admin area may not include all workspaces or pages listed here.
Customize your admin area navigation
You can customize the order of workspaces within your sidebar, as well as the list of pages that appear when hovering over a workspace.
💡 Pro-Tip: Admin area customizations are unique to individual users, so reorder workspaces and pages to fit your own needs and most-used features! If you have multiple team members who use CampusESP for different functions, they can each customize their admin area to their preference.
Reorder workspaces
To reorder the workspaces in the sidebar, hover over the Customize icon. You’ll see a list of all the workspaces in your sidebar. Click and drag on the six dots icon (⠿) to the left of a workspace name to move it where you’d like to appear. You can also use the up (^) and down (⌄) arrows to the right of a workspace name to move it in relation to its current position. Click the Save Order button to save the updated order of your workspaces.
You can reorder workspaces as often and as many times as you’d like. If you’d like to reset the order of workspaces to the default order, click Reset to Defaults.
NOTE: The Dashboards workspace is fixed in the top position in the sidebar and cannot be moved.
Pin pages within workspaces
You can reorder the list of pages within a workspace by pinning them. When hovering over a workspace, click the star icon (⭐) to the right of a page name to pin it to the top of the list. You can pin multiple pages within a single workspace.
Pinned pages will be listed in the order you pinned them chronologically. To unpin a page, click the star icon (⭐) to the right of the page name to remove it from the pinned list.
NOTE: You can’t drag and drop to reorganize your pinned pages. If you want to reorder pinned pages, you’ll need to unpin and repin them in the order you want them listed.
