You can enter grades in another application and import them into the Brightspace Learning Environment using a CSV, TSV, or TXT file.
STEP 1: Create an Assignment with the name 'CampusKnot' or 'Participation'
To download your CampusKnot points, follow these steps
STEP 2: Once you've downloaded your CampusKnot points, export your D2L Grades as a CSV
Select the Grades option on the course navigation bar
select the "Enter Grades" tab
select the "Export" button
4. The "Export Grades" area appears.
5. Make sure you select the following user details:
Last Name
First Name
Email
6. A dialogue box will appear with the file name and a "Download" button. Select the "Download" button.
7. Make sure you have both CSV files opened (CampusKnot and D2L)
8. Copy the scores from your CampusKnot CSV directly into the D2L CSV under the 'CampusKnot' or 'Participation' column.
9. Save this as a new file under a name you will recognize for easy uploading.
STEP 3: Import the CampusKnot Points inside the D2L Gradebook
select the Grades link on the course navigation bar
select the "Enter Grades" tab
select the "Import" button
4. The "Import Grades - Step 1: Select File to Import" area appears.
5. Select 'Browse' and find the file to be imported
6. Inside Import Grades make sure you follow the steps here.
7. Select Continue and move to Step 3 which allows a user to assign various properties to the new grade item(s).
8. If there are errors, it will show inside this field. If you're experiencing issues while transferring your grades, such as:
Students don't match: Check that your D2L roster and CampusKnot student members match the CampusKnot members list. Please contact your CampusKnot representative for assistance.
Columns don't match: Only upload a single column per student.
8. The last step shows a preview of the data that will be associated with the new grade item. Once you're ready select 'Import'.
