What Is the Home Screen?

The home screen is the first thing you see after signing in. It provides a quick overview of:

  • Your learning progress

  • Courses that need attention

  • Recent activity

  • Quick ways to continue learning

Think of it as your personal dashboard for training and development.

How to Get to the Home Screen

The home screen is usually the default view when you open the app. If you are on another screen:

  • Tap the Home icon in the bottom navigation bar

  • The Home icon usually looks like a house

Understanding the Home Screen Cards

The home screen is organized into cards, each showing different information. Here is what you may see:

For You Header

At the top of the screen, you will see a personalized header showing:

  • A greeting with your name

  • Your next recommended course

  • A Continue or Start button to jump right into learning

To start learning:

  1. Look at the course shown in the header

  2. Tap the Continue or Start button

  3. The course will open and you can begin

Tip: This section shows the course the app recommends you work on next based on your learning path and progress.

Learning Path Progress Card

This card shows your overall progress through assigned training:

  • Progress indicator - Shows how many courses you have completed out of the total assigned

  • Visual progress bar - A quick way to see how far along you are

  • View button - Tap to see your full learning path

What the numbers mean:

  • "3 of 10 completed" means you have finished 3 courses out of 10 total assigned courses

  • When you complete all courses, you will see a celebration!

Overdue Courses Card

If you have courses that are past their due date, they will appear here:

  • Shows courses you need to complete urgently

  • Displays the original due date for each course

  • Tap any course to open it and start working

Important: Overdue courses should be completed as soon as possible. Your organization tracks this information.

If this card shows "Nothing overdue":

  • Great job! You are on track with all your deadlines

  • You can tap the celebrate button to acknowledge your good progress

Completed Courses Card

This card shows courses you have already finished:

  • Lists your completed courses with completion dates

  • Shows any credits or points you earned

  • May show a certificate link if one is available

To view a completed course again:

  1. Find the course in the Completed Courses card

  2. Tap on it to open the course details

  3. You can review the content anytime

To download a certificate:

  1. Look for a certificate icon next to the course

  2. Tap the icon to open your certificate

  3. The certificate will open in your browser where you can save or print it

Recent Courses Card

This card shows courses you have recently interacted with:

  • Courses you started but have not finished

  • Recently viewed courses

  • Easy access to continue where you left off

To continue a recent course:

  1. Find the course in the Recent Courses card

  2. Tap on it

  3. The course will open to where you left off

Push Notification Tip Card

If you have not set up notifications, you may see a card suggesting you enable them:

  • Notifications help you remember to complete training

  • Tap the card to go to notification settings

  • You can dismiss this card after setting up notifications

Understanding Progress Indicators

Throughout the home screen, you will see progress indicators:

  • Percentage - Shows how much of a course or path you have completed (e.g., "75%")

  • Progress bar - A visual bar that fills as you progress

  • Completion badge - A checkmark or "Completed" label for finished items

  • Overdue badge - A warning indicator for past-due courses

Troubleshooting

The home screen is loading slowly

What to try:

  2. Pull down to refresh the screen

  3. Close the app completely and reopen it

  4. Wait a moment - large amounts of data may take time to load

I do not see any courses

Possible reasons:

  • Your organization has not assigned any courses yet

  • All your courses are completed (check the Completed Courses card)

  • There may be a loading issue - try pulling down to refresh

What to do:

  • Contact your administrator if you think courses are missing

  • Check your Learning Path for a complete list of assignments

My progress is not updating

After completing a course:

  1. Pull down on the home screen to refresh

  3. If progress still does not show, close and reopen the app

Cards are showing errors

If a card shows an error message:

  1. Pull down to refresh the screen

  2. Check your internet connection

  3. The error may be temporary - try again in a few minutes

  4. If the problem continues, contact support

The home screen looks different than before

The home screen may look different based on:

  • Your device (phone vs. tablet)

  • Your organization's settings

  • Feature updates to the app

This is normal and the core functionality remains the same.

Tips for Success

  • Use the For You recommendation - The app suggests courses in the best order

  • Pull to refresh - Keep your progress current after completing activities
