What You’ll Get From Notifications

Carebility sends push notifications to help you stay on track with:

  • Course reminders

  • New course assignments

  • Course updates and announcements

  • Important information from your organization

Enable Notifications

If You Haven’t Enabled Notifications Yet

  1. Open Settings (tap the gear icon at the bottom of your screen)

  2. Tap Notifications

  3. Tap Enable Notifications

If the button says Open Settings, your device settings are currently blocking notifications. Skip to the “What if the Enable button doesn’t work?” section below.

Device-Specific Permission Prompts

After tapping Enable Notifications, your device will ask for permission.

On iPhone or iPad

A popup will appear asking if Carebility can send notifications.

  • Tap Allow to turn on notifications

  • Tap Don’t Allow to skip (you can change this later)

On Android

A permission request will appear.

  • Tap Allow to turn on notifications

  • Tap Don’t Allow to skip (you can change this later)

Verify Notifications Are Working

Once notifications are enabled, it’s a good idea to test them.

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Notifications

  3. Confirm you see “Push Notifications are enabled!”

  4. Tap Send Test Notification

A test notification should appear on your device within a few seconds.

If you don’t receive it:

  • Check your device notification settings

  • Make sure Carebility is not blocked

  • Try sending the test again

Turn Off Notifications

On iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the device Settings app

  2. Scroll down and tap Carebility

  3. Tap Notifications

  4. Toggle Allow Notifications off

On Android

  1. Open the device Settings app

  2. Tap Apps or Applications

  3. Select Carebility

  4. Tap Notifications

  5. Turn notifications off

What If the Enable Button Doesn’t Work?

If tapping Enable Notifications does nothing or shows Open Settings, notifications are disabled at the device level.

Fix: Enable Notifications in Device Settings

  1. In Carebility, go to Settings > Notifications

  2. Tap Open Settings

  3. In your device settings, find Notifications or Push Notifications

  4. Turn notifications on

Return to the Carebility app and send a test notification to confirm.

If It Still Doesn’t Work

Make sure:

  • Notification permission is fully allowed (not limited)

  • Carebility is not muted or silenced

  • Your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Silent mode

  • You have an active internet connection

  • Your device has available storage space

I Can’t Find Notifications in My Device Settings

Settings vary by device:

  • Look for Apps or Applications

  • Select Carebility

  • Open Notifications

If you still can’t locate the setting, contact your device manufacturer for help.

The Test Notification Sends, but I Don’t See It

  1. Check your notification center

  2. Make sure your device volume is not muted

  3. Verify notifications are not hidden or blocked by another app
