The Stax Account Updater automatically updates stored customer card information when a card’s details change (such as a new expiration date), helping you keep payment data current without manual effort. This reduces failed transactions, supports uninterrupted service, and decreases billing work and potential customer churn.
How it works:
The service runs twice per month (on the 15th and 30th).
When updated card data is provided by a card issuer, Stax refreshes the stored payment method and logs the change (what was updated, why, and when).
Some cards may not be eligible for updating if restricted by the issuing bank or if closed due to fraud or customer action.
The Account Updater is included with your Stax account for Chalk It Pro and is billed as a $10 monthly fee. This fee appears alongside your regular Stax processing charges.
