We've created a sample email to your members that you can use to give them a heads up about the transition:
Subject: Heads Up — Chalk It Pro is Switching Payment Processors
Hey [Gym Name] family,
We wanted to give you a quick heads up that Chalk It Pro, the platform we use to manage memberships and payments, is transitioning to a new payment processor. For most of you, this will be completely seamless — but we want to make sure you're in the loop.
What's new for you as a member:
You can now update your payment method directly inside the Chalk It Pro app — no more being redirected to Stripe to make changes
You can switch your default payment method right within the app
Invoices will now come directly from Chalk It Pro instead of Stripe
You can resend receipts to your email anytime from the Invoices section in the app
A few things to watch for:
There's a small chance your next payment may not go through. If that happens, it's likely one of these reasons:
Your payment method on file is outdated and needs to be updated
Your bank or card issuer is blocking the transaction because of the new processor — in that case, you'll need to either update your payment method in the app or contact your bank and let them know to allow the charge through
Everything — including any coupons, discounts, or credits on your account — should have carried over automatically. But if anything looks off on your next invoice, just reach out to one of our coaches and we'll get it sorted right away.
