What Is the Booking Momentum Report?
The Booking Momentum Report is a sales forecasting tool built right into Chariot. It shows you how your revenue and jobs are stacking up — week by week — so you can see at a glance whether your bookings are on pace, ahead of schedule, or falling behind.
Think of it as a running scorecard for your booking activity. Instead of waiting until the end of a month to see how you did, Booking Momentum lets you track progress in real time and spot trends early enough to act on them.
Where to Find It

What the Report Shows
Booking Momentum breaks down your booking activity week by week across a selected job date range.
Forecast guidance — based on how recent weeks have been performing, the report gives you a sense of how much additional revenue you're likely to book in the weeks ahead.
The week-by-week view makes it easy to see trends that a monthly summary would hide — like a strong push in the first two weeks of a month followed by a slowdown, or a surge after a promotion.
How to Read the Report
The report is built around a job date range — meaning it's looking at jobs by their scheduled move date, not necessarily when they were booked. [ASSUMPTION: date range is user-selectable] Set the date range to the period you want to forecast (for example, the next 4–8 weeks of move dates), and the report will show how bookings for that window are accumulating over time.
As each week passes, you'll see the cumulative totals climb. A healthy curve generally trends upward steadily — a flat or dropping line is a signal worth investigating.
The recent weeks section is especially useful for forecasting. It shows you how bookings have been coming in over the last several weeks and uses that pace to estimate how much more revenue is likely to book before your selected job dates arrive. This can help you answer questions like:
"Are we likely to hit our revenue target for next month?"
"Do we have enough jobs booked to keep crews busy, or should we push marketing harder?"
"Is our current booking pace normal for this time of year, or are we trending low?"
Practical Ways to Use Booking Momentum
Here are a few ways office teams use this report in their day-to-day work:
Weekly check-ins: Pull the report at the start of each week to see where you stand. If you're behind pace, you still have time to respond — whether that's following up on pending estimates, running a promotion, or adjusting crew scheduling.
Capacity planning: Use the job count trend to make sure you're not over- or under-booking for a given week. Spotting a soft period early gives you time to fill it.
Sales team accountability: Share the report in team meetings to keep everyone aligned on booking goals and progress toward them.
Revenue forecasting: Use the projected additional revenue figure to set realistic expectations for the month — helpful for ownership and management conversations.
Tips
For the most useful forecasting view, set your job date range to cover the next 4–8 weeks. Too narrow and you won't see the full picture; too wide and the early weeks of the range may already be mostly booked. [ASSUMPTION]
Check the report consistently — weekly is ideal. One-time snapshots are less useful than tracking the trend over several weeks.
If you notice a big drop in a specific week, cross-reference it with your estimates and leads to understand whether it's a booking lag or a genuine soft period.
