A survey lets you collect first-party insight at the moment of engagement — after a consumer submits a code, before or after they receive the reward.
WHEN TO USE ONE
Surveys suit objectives like brand awareness, product feedback or profile enrichment. Because the consumer is already in a reward flow, response rates are far higher than a cold outreach.
SETTING IT UP
1. Enable the Survey section for the campaign in the builder's Details step — only enabled sections appear in the campaign workspace.
2. Add your questions. Keep them short; consumers often answer over USSD or SMS where space is tight.
3. Decide whether completing the survey is required for the reward or optional for a bonus.
REWARD THE ANSWER, NOT JUST THE SCAN
Two things make survey data actionable rather than decorative:
• Survey completed is a trigger — write a rule that rewards finishing the survey, separately from the scan that started it.
• Survey answer is a condition — so a rule can pay differently based on what someone said.
Responses also feed Audiences, so you can build segments from what consumers tell you rather than only from how they scan. Answers arrive attached to the consumer, which means a survey question asked once keeps working as a targeting filter for the rest of the campaign.
