Chexy gives you full flexibility to manage multiple credit cards, assign them to different payments, and update your card details — all from your dashboard. This guide covers everything you need to know about managing your credit cards on Chexy.
Multi-Card Support
You can add and store multiple credit cards on your Chexy account at the same time, giving you more flexibility and control over how your payments are handled.
How many cards can I add?
Personal accounts: Up to 5 credit cards
Business accounts: Up to 10 cards (any combination of personal and business cards)
What can you do with multiple cards?
Choose the best card for each payment
Maximize rewards across different cards
Keep backup cards available in case a charge fails
Switch cards easily without needing to remove or re-enter details
A few things to keep in mind:
Select your preferred card before your charge date — once a charge is processed on a card, we cannot reverse it.
Split payments are not supported — each payment is charged to one card only; payments cannot be split across multiple cards.
If a charge fails, you'll need to log in to your account to retry the payment, switch cards, or add a new card.
How to Add a New Card
Here's how to add a new card:
Go to your Wallet
Select Add card +
Enter your card details
That's it — your card will be saved and ready to use at any time!
Notes:
If you've reached the maximum number of cards, you'll need to remove an existing card before adding a new one.
Remember to move payments to your preferred card ahead of time (before the charge date).
Once a charge is processed on a card, it can't be reversed. You can switch that payment to a different card for the next charge date, after the current payment cycle has ended.
Using Multiple Cards for Different Payments
Yes, you can assign different credit cards to different subscriptions within your Chexy Wallet.
You can have multiple cards on file at a time. When you change a card, it will only update for the specific subscriptions linked to that card, not all scheduled payments.
How to Update Your Credit Card
You can update your credit card — whether it's a Visa, Mastercard, or Amex — directly from your Chexy dashboard in just a few steps:
Log in to Chexy
Click the thumbnail at the top left corner
Click Wallet
Click the settings icon at the top right
Update your card details
Your new credit card will be used for all future charges. Please note that if you only have 1 credit card on file, you won't be able to delete it until you add a new one. Additionally, if your credit card is currently being charged or has a payment in progress, you will be unable to change the card until the payment concludes.
Important: If a payment is currently processing or falls within the 4-business-day window before your due date:
You may not be able to update your credit card during this time
Changes will apply to the next billing cycle
If your credit card is expiring soon, make sure to update it before your next charge date to avoid failed payments.
If you're unsure whether your credit card payment is currently processing, contact support with your scheduled payment date and payee name, and we'll help you out.
Expired Card Notices
If you received an expired card notice but your payment went through successfully, your card was valid at the time of charge. No action is required for that specific payment.
Do I still need to update my card?
If your card is now expired or close to expiring, please update it to avoid issues with future payments. Expired cards may cause upcoming charges to fail.
When Is My Card Charged?
You cannot select the exact day your card is charged each month. Your card will always be charged 4 business days before your scheduled payment due date. This timing cannot be customized.
