We're retiring Referral Status tiers at the end of 2026. You and your friend will each still get $25 for every successful referral. The only thing ending is the tiered processing fee discount (Pink, Gold, and Elite).
What's changing
Until December 31, 2026: Nothing changes. You can still unlock Pink, Gold, or Elite, and your reduced processing fee applies as usual.
From January 1, 2027: No one will earn new Referral Statuses. If you haven't qualified for a crew extension, your payments will be charged the standard processing fee for your card type.
How long does my current status last?
Referral Statuses follow the calendar year. A status you've earned in 2026, or earn before the year ends, lasts until December 31, 2026. Earning a tier on its own does not carry it into 2027.
Crew extension: keeping your status through 2027
If your crew (the friends you've referred) completes enough payments in 2026, we'll extend your status for 2027.

Payments must be completed between January 1 and December 31, 2026. We'll count them on December 31, 2026.
A payment counts as completed when the e-Transfer is deposited, the PAD is withdrawn, or the bill pay is sent.
The extension still applies if you reach a new tier late in the year. As long as you hit the crew payment threshold for that status by December 31, 2026, it carries into 2027.
Your extended status works exactly as it does today, with the same reduced fee and the same $50,000 annual cap on discounted spend. The cap resets to $0 on January 1, 2027.
Extended statuses end on December 31, 2027 and can't be extended again. From January 1, 2028, all payments are charged the standard processing fee for your card type.
Will I still get rewards for referring friends?
Yes. You and your friend will each still get $25 when they sign up with your link and complete their first payment. Any referral credits already in your account stay there, and you can redeem them toward future payments.
