If you click Check In on the mobile app and you expect to see an event show up, but don't see any events, here are the first steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Step 1: The Civic Champs app needs location permissions to be on in order for volunteers to check in. When volunteers first download the mobile app, they are asked to turn location permissions on as part of the app set up. In case these settings have been changed, double check that the Civic Champs app is allowed to access your location at any time and that Precise location permission is on. Civic Champs does not store or share your location, we simply use this setting to detect when you are at your organization's event.

Step 2: Check the username you're logged in with (an email or phone number) and confirm with your volunteer coordinator that you are logged in with an account that appears on their organization's roster in Civic Champs. If you think you may have a duplicate account, reach out to Sylvia at sylvia@civicchamps.com to have your accounts merged.

Step 3: Reach out to Customer Success Lead, Sylvia, at sylvia@civicchamps.com with your name, organization, and the event you are having trouble checking into.
