What Does the Verification Tick Next to a Name Mean? (Brisbane Catholic Education Only)

If relief staff have queries regarding their verification status, please note that while ClassCover displays the status, the process is managed by the BCE Relief Staff Team.

To check the verification status for relief staff, please contact the BCE Relief Staff Team via reliefstaff@bne.catholic.edu.au.

If you're a school within Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE), you will notice verification ticks next to the names of relief staff when viewing their profiles. These ticks indicate the relief staff member’s verification status and help you understand their training compliance. Here’s what the different ticks mean and what you need to know.

Note: Relief staff cannot view their own verification status and will need to contact the BCE Relief Staff Team if they have any queries.

Verification Status

There are two types of verification ticks you may see next to the name of a relief staff member:

  • Green Tick:

This tick indicates that the relief staff member is fully verified and approved to work at a BCE school. Their mandatory training is also up-to-date and fully compliant.

  • Orange Tick:

The orange tick indicates that the relief staff member is verified and approved to work at a BCE school, however, their mandatory training needs to be checked and facilitated prior to confirming the booking.

Important Notes:

  • Manual Input: The verification status, including the green and orange ticks, is manually updated by the BCE Relief Staff Team. They are responsible for ensuring all required information is accurate and up to date.

  • Verification Queries: All queries regarding a relief staff member’s verification status must be directed to the BCE Relief Staff Team, as ClassCover has no control over the BCE verification process.

  • Verified Relief Staff Only: Schools will only see relief staff who have been verified. If a relief staff member does not have a verified tick (either green or orange), their profile will not appear in the school’s list of available relief staff.

  • Unverified Relief Staff: Relief staff without a verified tick will be removed from the school’s list until they meet the necessary requirements for verification.

How Relief Staff Can Find Work During the Review Process

While waiting for approval, you can direct relief staff to our ‘Find New’ feature in ClassCover to search through over 3,500 schools. This gives them the opportunity to explore potential work opportunities outside the BCE community until their BCE verification is approved.
