ClassCover allows your school to have unlimited users with tailored access levels, depending on their role. This article explains the different user types and permission levels so you can confidently assign the right access to the right staff.
Role Types Available
Relief Teacher Administrator (RTA):
This is the main account holder for the school. Every school can only have one RTA. This user has the highest level of access and is typically responsible for overseeing all school operations on ClassCover.
School Administrator:
An admin-level user with full access to most ClassCover features. Ideal for school office staff or leadership team members managing bookings and casuals.
Classroom Teacher:
Can be added to Smart Groups to streamline bookings, but does not receive a login by default. If you want a classroom teacher to access ClassCover and manage bookings, they must be added as a team member and assigned appropriate permissions.

Permissions You Can Assign
Owner (RTA):
The Owner is the main account holder. They can approve or remove casuals, adjust admin settings, place and manage bookings, post jobs, send messages, manage Smart Groups, and edit the school profile. There can only be one Owner per school.
Administrator Access:
This gives the same access as the Owner, except the ability to manage the school profile. Ideal for school staff who need full administrative access but aren’t the primary contact.
Limited Access:
Users with limited access can log in, view the school’s profile, and send booking requests. They can only cancel bookings they’ve made themselves and cannot access features like Find New, Pending Requests, or Admin Settings. This permission level is best for staff who only need basic booking capabilities.
