Android’s notification system is second to none. But it’s often tainted by custom manufacturer skins or glitches in a particular app. That sometimes leads to odd behaviors and delays, causing you to miss crucial alerts.
But thankfully, you can try many fixes to get your notifications back to normal. Here are some settings and fixes to try if you aren’t receiving notifications.
Settings > Sounds & Vibration > Do Not Disturb: if this setting is enabled, Push Notifications will not be received. Make sure this is disabled.
Settings > General > Background App Refresh: this setting allows the app to run in the background and must be turned on.
Settings > Apps> ClassCover> Notifications: ensure that all toggle switches are turned on.
Settings > Apps> ClassCover> Power Usage Details: Disable the Manage automatically toggle and set auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background to On.
Settings > Battery > App Launch: Look for the ClassCover App, if this is enabled then Push Notifications will not be received. Make sure this is disabled.
TIP #1: Always make sure that your phone's operating system and our App is up to date. If your application is running on older versions of software, or if you haven’t updated to newer versions in a while, you will encounter an issue with the Push Notifications.
You may do this by going to the settings of your phone then tapping on Systems & Updates ( Android) or Settings > General > About > Software version (IOS).
To get our latest Mobile App version, we suggest that you log out of your profile first then uninstall the app from your phone then download the app from the App or Play Store.
Tip #2: The speed of the network can hugely affect the push notifications from a mobile application. If the network is slow, the app performance will also be slow.
In order to fix the problem, please ensure to check the network speed all the time and make sure that you have a stable internet connection.
Note: You may contact us anytime to request a test booking request to check if you are receiving notifications on your phone after trying the steps above.
