The teacher shortage is being experienced nationwide
Schools are experiencing strain as teacher shortages rise. They are relying on teachers to do the right thing by staying active on ClassCover if you are ready to work, or to deactivate or turn off bookings if you are taking a break from casual work.
Schools sending booking requests to unavailable teachers only adds to the strain as you are appearing as available and ready to work. This also means teachers who are actually available may miss out on booking requests.
❗️ Do the right thing: take action on your account if you are not available to work.
Here are the two quick and easy choices available to you:
Turn off Bookings: Log into ClassCover and navigate to your ClassCover profile. Here you will find a section titled 'I am using ClassCover to...'
Click the edit pencil on the top right hand corner.
Unselect 'Get booked for casual work through ClassCover Bookings' but keep either Jobs or PD selected so you can continue to use your profile to browse and apply for jobs or access our PD.
Deactivate your account: You can temporarily or even permanently deactivate your account and leave it deactivated for as long as you want. To reactivate, all you need to do is log back in. You can find the deactivate profile link in your profile. See the screenshot below.
