Go to More > Customers to manage your customers (CRM) and business accounts. The page has two tabs: Customers and Businesses.

Customers tab

The Customers tab opens by default. Search by ID or name to find a customer. Each row shows the customer’s name, telephone, address, days as a customer and last review. Select the pencil icon to edit their details.

How to add a customer

  1. Go to More > Customers.

  2. Select Add Customer.

  3. Fill in the details on the five tabs:

    • General: name, email, telephone, customer source, default notification method, marketing opt-in and birthday.

    • Billing: business account, default price list, default payment type, discount %, credit ($), tax ID and tax exemptions.

    • Address: street address, apt/suite/unit, city, zip code, route and driver instructions.

    • Preferences: based on the preferences you’ve set up on your Products page.

    • Notes: Saved Notes, visible to staff, and Private Notes, visible to admins only.

  4. Select Submit.

Businesses tab

Select Businesses at the top of the page to switch views. Search for a business account, use the pencil to edit it or the bin to delete it, and select View Activity to see its orders and billing history.

How to add a business account

  1. Go to More > Customers > Businesses.

  2. Select Add Business Account.

  3. Fill in the details on the five tabs:

    • Details: business name, email, telephone, ID, tax ID, address and additional contacts.

    • Billing: discount priority, % discount, default payment method, price list, invoice style and loyalty program.

    • Display: color, Highlight in POS and Hide Prices on Receipt.

    • Customers: search for customers and assign them to this business account.

    • Linked Accounts: set up parent and child business accounts.

  4. Select Save.

Good to know

  • Color: if you set a color for a business account, also turn on Highlight in POS. Staff can then spot the account easily when managing orders.

  • Parent and child accounts: use these when one business has several branches. For example, a hotel group (the parent) has branches (the children). You can assign orders to either, and all charges roll up to the parent for one consolidated invoice.

How to link a child account

  1. Open the parent business account.

  2. Go to Linked Accounts.

  3. Turn on Has Child Business Accounts.

  4. Select the existing business accounts to assign as children.

  5. Select Save.

How to view business activity

Select View Activity next to a business account to see a summary of how it’s doing.

  • Key figures: customers, orders, sales, paid, unpaid, first order, last order and average spend. Use the unpaid figure to see how much is still outstanding.

  • Customer list: every customer assigned to the business, with their name, email and telephone. Select Stats next to a customer to see their order activity.
