Discounts & Promos Settings

How to configure loyalty points, referral codes, promo codes, and product discount rules.

Written by Rafael

Go to More > Settings > Store Settings > Payments & Discounts > Discounts & Promos to set up how your store rewards and discounts customers.

Loyalty Points

  • Use Loyalty Point Scheme: Toggle on to let customers earn points on spending, which can be converted to store credit.

  • Redemption Percentage (%): Enter the rate points convert at, for example 3% means $3 credit for every $100 spent.

  • Minimum Number of Points Required Before Converting to Credit: Enter the threshold customers must reach before converting points to credit.

  • Apply to Orders From: Select the date this scheme starts applying.

Note: Avoid changing this date once set. Changing it after points have already been earned or redeemed can throw off customer balances and may leave some customers with a negative points balance.

Referral Codes

  • Use Referral Codes: Toggle on to give each customer a unique code they can share with friends and family.

  • Credit to Give to Existing Customer ($): Enter the credit the referring customer receives.

  • Credit to Give to New Customer ($): Enter the credit the new customer receives.

  • Apply to Orders From: Select the date referral codes start applying.

Promo Codes

Select Add Promo Code to create a new code. You'll set:

  • Promo Code and Promo Type (for example, a percentage discount for one order)

  • Discount % and Maximum Uses

  • Show in POS: Whether staff can apply the code manually in-store.

  • Promo Expires: Set an expiry date, if needed.

  • When Promo Code Can Be Used: On Account Create, In-Store Orders, Pickup & Delivery, and/or Lockers.

  • Assign Customer To Business: Optionally tie the code to a specific business account.

Product Discount Rules

Select Add Product Discount Rule to discount specific products or sections. You'll set:

  • Campaign name, Discount amount, and Discount Type (for example, $ per item quantity)

  • Min Quantity and Minimum Quantity Behavior: Controls whether the discount applies to all items in the basket once the minimum is met, or only to items above the minimum.

  • Scope: Exclude Business Accounts, Exclude Pickup & Delivery Orders, or Allow Order Level Discount.

  • Date Range and Time Range (All Day or custom), plus an optional Day Deal to limit the discount to specific days.

  • Products and Stores the rule applies to.

Note: Avoid applying more than one Product Discount Rule to the same product at the same time, as this can cause conflicts. If a customer already has a discount on their account through the CRM, adding a Product Discount Rule on the same product can override it unexpectedly. It's best to avoid stacking the two.
