Voice is an optional add-on to your CleanCloud subscription. Use this article to turn it on, understand the cost and decide how calls reach it. To learn what Voice does on a call, see How Voice works.
How to turn on Voice
Voice is available on any CleanCloud plan. You turn it on by contacting us.
Contact CleanCloud Support and ask us to turn on Voice.
Include your Store ID Number, which is at the bottom of the More page.
We turn on Voice for your account and buy a phone number for your store, based on what our phone provider has available. For US stores, we try to match your local area code, but we can’t promise it.
Voice is only available in select countries. See the table below.

Your Voice phone number
When Voice is turned on, your store gets a dedicated phone number for it. This gives Voice its own direct line, so you can choose how calls reach it.
Stores on Grow and Grow+ can add Voice to their existing notification number, so customers can call the number they already get notifications from. If you prefer, we can give you a separate number for Voice instead.
How to route calls to Voice
You choose which calls Voice answers. Set this up in your own phone system or VoIP provider, such as Aircall, by adding a forwarding rule to your Voice number. Common setups:
Everything: forward all calls to Voice, so your team can focus on the laundry. When a customer needs a person, Voice sends your team a message to call them back.
Overflow: your team answers first. Your phone system forwards a call to Voice after a set number of rings, so no customer reaches voicemail or waits on hold during a rush.
After hours: your team answers during business hours. Your phone system forwards calls to Voice when the store closes.
Note: You set up forwarding in your own phone system. CleanCloud can’t do this for you.
How to add information to Voice
Voice answers questions about your business from your Knowledge Base.
Grow and Grow+: Voice uses the Knowledge Base content you’ve already created.
Lite and Pro: our team turns on the Knowledge Base when Voice is turned on.
Voice uses the price table in your Knowledge Base first when it quotes prices, so choose the right price list there. It also checks the Knowledge Base before telling a customer you don’t offer a service.
For steps and tips on what to write, see How to set up your Knowledge Base.
