Coach As Client: Using CoachRx for Your Own Training Without Being Billed

Use CoachRx on yourself as a client without your org being charged for that self-client seat. How the coach-as-client billing logic works, how to flag your own profile, and what stays the same vs different from a regular client.

Coach As Client: Using CoachRx for Your Own Training Without Being Billed

Many CoachRx coaches use the platform to program for themselves, tracking their own training, lifestyle, and assessments alongside their client work. Your own client profile does not count toward your billable client total as long as it's linked to your coach account.

Who Qualifies

A profile is treated as a coach as client (and excluded from your billable client count) when the client account email address matches the email address used for your coach account.

How to Make Sure Your Profile Doesn't Count Toward Billing

Simply ensure that the email address on your client account matches the email address on your coach account.

Once the emails match, your profile will automatically be recognized as your self-client and excluded from your billable client total. No additional setup is required.

Multi-Coach Organizations

In a multi-coach organization, every active coach seat is eligible for one self-client at no additional cost. If your organization has four active coach seats, each coach can have one self-client profile that won't count toward your paid client tier.

"I'm Already Being Charged for Myself"

If you've been using CoachRx for a while and notice your own profile is still being counted toward your billable client total:

  1. Verify that your client account email matches your coach account email.

  2. Changes will be reflected on your next billing cycle.

  3. If you're still being billed incorrectly after confirming the emails match, contact Support and we'll be happy to review your account.

FAQ

Will my clients see that I have a self-profile?

No. Your clients cannot see your personal client profile.

Can another coach in my organization see my self-profile?

Visibility depends on your role and your organization's Client Visibility settings, just like any other client profile.

Can I have more than one self-profile?

No. Each coach seat is eligible for one self-client profile. Any additional client profiles will count toward your billable client total.
