Get started with CoachRx by completing your profile setup and exploring essential features. This quick onboarding guide walks you through the initial setup process and key sections of your client app.

What You'll Set Up

For Coaches:

  • Personalized welcome message - Custom greeting for new clients

  • Client information - Name, birthday, contact details, and time zone

  • First workout preview - Optional first session for onboarding display

For Clients:

  • Account creation - Password setup and app download

  • Personal information - Profile completion and preferences

  • Training schedule - Days and times for workouts

  • Equipment list - Available training equipment

  • Key features - Metrics, progress photos, and documents


Coach Setup: Personalizing Client Onboarding

Step 1: Customize Onboarding Message

  1. Navigate to Settings from the top navigation

  2. Go to Client Settings

  3. Select "Client Onboarding"

  4. Update the welcome message text you want new clients to see

  5. Save changes

Message appears:

  • During client's app onboarding flow

  • On the app download instruction screen

  • Creates personalized first impression

Message Best Practices:

  • Welcome clients warmly and professionally

  • Set expectations for the coaching relationship

  • Include encouragement and motivation

  • Keep concise (2-3 sentences recommended)

  • Review and update periodically

Step 2: Add Your Client

  1. Go to Clients β†’ "Add Client"

  2. Enter required information:

    • First name, last name, email address

    • Configure coaching services (exercise, lifestyle, consultations)

    • Enable touchpoints and client autonomy if desired

    • Set time zone, unit preferences, and commission (if applicable)

  3. Click "Add Client"

  4. System automatically sends invite email

Step 3: Design First Training Session (Optional)

Enhance onboarding with workout preview:

  1. Navigate to newly added client's calendar

  2. Design their first training session

  3. Schedule it for their next training day

  4. Client sees preview during onboarding process

Why include first workout:

  • Shows clients what to expect

  • Demonstrates your coaching style

  • Builds excitement for starting

  • Provides concrete next steps


Client Onboarding Experience

Client Receives Invite Email

  1. CoachRx sends automated welcome email to client's address

  2. Email includes:

    • Welcome to CoachRx message

    • Account setup link

    • Instructions to get started

  3. Client clicks link to begin setup

Client Sets Password

  1. Client clicks invite link from email

  2. Create password for CoachRx account

  3. Password requirements displayed

  4. Confirms password creation

Client Downloads App

  1. Client directed to app download screen

  2. Your custom welcome message appears on this screen

  3. First training session preview displays (if you created one)

  4. Links to download:

    • iOS App Store

    • Google Play Store

  5. Client downloads and installs CoachRx mobile app


Initial Client Setup Flow

Start Account Setup

  1. Client opens CoachRx app for the first time

  2. Prompted to complete quick onboarding flow

  3. Taps "Start" to begin setup process

Enter Personal Information

  1. Update name - First and last name

  2. Confirm birthday - Enter date of birth

  3. Verify email address - Ensure email is correct

Set Time Zone

  1. Select time zone from dropdown

  2. Critical importance:

    • Affects push notification timing

    • Determines prescription delivery accuracy

    • Controls scheduled workout reminders

  3. Ensure correct time zone for location

Choose Unit Preferences

  1. Select measurement system:

    • Metric (kilograms, centimeters)

    • Imperial (pounds, feet/inches)

  2. Determines how measurements display throughout app

Enter Body Measurements

  1. Height - Enter current height

  2. Weight - Enter current weight

  3. Tap "Complete" to finish onboarding

Client is now ready to use CoachRx!


Completing Client Profile

Navigate to Homepage

  1. After onboarding, client lands on homepage

  2. Daily prescriptions will appear here

  3. Green ring around avatar indicates incomplete profile

  4. Complete profile to close the ring

Access Profile Settings

  1. Tap Profile button in bottom right navigation

  2. Tap gear icon in top right for settings

  3. Update notification preferences and password

  4. Return to main profile view

Edit Profile

  1. Tap pencil icon in upper right

  2. Add profile picture - Upload a photo

  3. Confirm sex - Select male or female

  4. Update name, phone number, emergency contact

  5. Update body stats - Keep weight and measurements current

  6. Save changes

Explore Insights Section

Located at top of profile:

  • Streaks - Track consecutive days

  • RXs completed - Total workouts and habits

  • Compliance tracking - Exercise and lifestyle percentages

  • Updates automatically with completed prescriptions

Metrics Tracking

  1. Tap "Metrics" in profile

  2. Categories include:

    • Body metrics

    • Resistance training metrics

    • Energy system metrics

    • Custom metrics from coach

  3. Update metrics anytime

Progress Pictures

  1. Tap "Progress Pictures" section

  2. Click "Upload Progress Photos"

  3. Upload three photos: front, rear, side views

  4. Track visual progress over time

Complete Intake Form

  1. Navigate to "Intake Form" section

  2. Fill out form assigned by coach

  3. Provides essential background information

  4. Complete thoroughly for best experience

Update Equipment List

  1. Go to "Equipment List" section

  2. Click "Add Equipment" in top right

  3. Add multiple locations (home gym, commercial gym, travel)

  4. Specify equipment at each location

  5. Save each list

Set Training Schedule
