After connecting Stripe to CoachRx, take a few minutes to configure your Stripe communication preferences. These are the email alerts Stripe will send you when something needs your attention - failed payments, payouts, disputes, balance changes. Without them, the first time you find out a client's payment failed is the day they ask why their app stopped working.
Why this matters
CoachRx surfaces payment status in the Business Suite, but Stripe is the system of record for everything that touches money. If a client card declines, a chargeback opens, or a payout fails, Stripe is the first to know. Communication preferences make sure that signal reaches you in real time, not at month-end.
How to set them up
Log in to your Stripe dashboard with the email you used during the CoachRx Stripe connect flow.
Go to Settings > Personal > Communication preferences.
Confirm your notification email is correct. Add a backup email if you want a teammate copied.
Enable the recommended notifications below.
Save.

What to do when an alert arrives
Alert | What to Do |
Payout completed | β No action needed - confirms funds in transit. |
Invoice mispayment | Reach out to the client to update card. Reissue the invoice from CoachRx. |
Payment review | Read the alert email; Stripe will tell you what info they need to release the funds. |
Dispute / chargeback | Respond inside Stripe within their stated deadline (usually 7-10 days). Failure to respond means automatic loss. |
Payout failed | Verify your bank account details inside Stripe and resubmit. |
Where to manage CoachRx-side notifications
CoachRx has its own notification settings for client activity, messaging, and dashboard alerts that are separate from Stripe's. You can find those under Settings > Notifications inside CoachRx.
